BankBroker's Data Integration Functionality

BankBroker provides an advanced data integration engine, called Dialect,  that is pre integrated to all the major financial services data sources including major clearing brokers, DST, DAZL and the DTCC.  The data integration engine is driven by meta data and can be easily configured to support new data feeds without programming or regression testing.  Any data object within BankBroker can be added or updated by our data integration engine, which allows us to use it to populate master data as well as transaction information. This provides a lot of utility for you.

Dialect's Data Integration Engine

Dialect has unique features that allow simple and powerful data management.  Dialect keeps a full update log which will enable the reversal or backing out of any file.  So if you receive the wrong file it is a simple matter to undo this load and retry with the correct file.  In addition, Dialect understands file load precedence and will automatically check file sequence numbers, file hash keys and base file / delta file issues to ensure that files are neither loaded twice nor loaded out of order.

Updating Data

Dialect also has sophisticated update policies that can be tuned to handle updates from multiple sources to a single data object.  Using these update polices, our users can determine whether one source should overwrite information loaded from another source or from a user.

Integrated Reporting

Finally, Dialect has an integrated reporting engine that allows our users to check which files loaded and what the record counts were each night so that they can make sure they are receiving the files that they expect to receive.

Dialect is managed through the use of a tool called "Task Planner" which automates all data file transfer, archiving and load processes.  This enable a "lights out" operation for regularly scheduled data feeds.  By providing a powerful and completely automated data integration engine with BankBroker, we make the ongoing operation and management of our software nearly effortless.
